Maniac Line Iron Remover 1L
Powerful Decontamination for Rims, Bodywork, and Glass

The Maniac Line Iron Remover is the ultimate solution for removing embedded ferrous contamination from your car's rims, bodywork, and glass. Ferrous contaminants, such as brake dust, industrial fallout, and pollution particles, are often invisible but can dull your carā€™s finish, cause rough textures, and leave unsightly spots.

This acid-free, pH-neutral formula dissolves stubborn contaminants safely and effectively, restoring your vehicleā€™s smooth finish and vibrant appearance. Whether you're a car detailer or an enthusiast, Iron Remover is an essential step in maintaining your vehicle's exterior and preparing it for further car protection treatments.

How to Identify Contamination

  • Rims: Persistent black or dark brown spots after cleaning indicate embedded brake dust or ferrous particles.
  • Bodywork: A dull finish or rough texture to the touch signals contamination, even if no spots are visible.
  • Glass: Contamination often appears as streaks or rough patches that regular cleaning canā€™t remove.

Why Choose Maniac Line Iron Remover?
This professional-grade product is a must-have for car detailing and car care, ensuring your vehicle stays smooth, brilliant, and well-protected. Its dual-action formula not only cleans but also decontaminates, making it an essential step in any car cleaning routine. Keep your car looking and feeling its best with Maniac Line Iron Remover!

  • Effective Decontamination: Dissolves embedded iron particles and brake dust for a smooth, clean surface.
  • Acid-Free and pH Neutral: Safe for all surfaces, including painted, chromed, and polished rims.
  • Visible Action: Turns purple on contact with ferrous contaminants, so you can see it working.
  • Restores Brilliance: Revives the original shine and smoothness of your car's exterior.
  • Prepares for Protection: Essential for preparing surfaces before applying wax, sealants, or coatings.

Decontaminating Rims

  1. Spray Iron Remover directly onto the rims, ensuring even coverage.
  2. Allow it to sit for 3ā€“4 minutes, avoiding surface drying. The product will turn purple as it reacts with contaminants.
  3. Use a brush or soft bristle tool to work into spokes and tight areas.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and dry with a clean microfibre cloth.

Decontaminating Bodywork

  1. After washing and drying the car, spray Iron Remover evenly over the bodywork from approximately 40 cm away.
  2. Leave the product to act for 5ā€“10 minutes. It will dissolve contaminants and turn purple as it works.
  3. Rinse thoroughly with a generous jet of water.
  4. Dry the surface with a clean microfibre cloth to reveal a smooth, bright, and contaminant-free finish.

  • Always work in a shaded, well-ventilated area on cool surfaces.
  • Avoid spraying on unpainted brake callipers or surfaces that donā€™t contain iron.
  • Use a brush or soft-bristle detailing tool for deep cleaning in hard-to-reach areas.

Iron Remover is ready to use for tough contamination. For maintenance or light contamination, dilute 1:1 (1 part product to 1 part water).

What is contamination?

Contamination can be of various origin and can be summarised as minerals, calcium, iron and lime scale. Iron particles created by friction on railway or tram lines or emitted by factories are extremely volatile and all vehicles are subject to this type of dirt. Normal detergents do not work on these types of contaminants and cannot dissolve the dirt. This is why it is essential to have a specific decontaminant for iron fallout.

What is the difference between a normal iron remover and Iron Remover of Maniac Lineā„¢ ?

The main advantages over commercially available iron removers are: speed of action, safety of use and a pleasant scent that covers the typical pungent smell of sulphur.

When cleaning rims, when should I use an iron remover and when should I use a specific cleaner?

Use Wheel&Tire Cleaner every time you wash the car and Iron Remover every three washes. Unlike dirt, ferrous contamination builds up over time, dulling the shine of the surface.

Can I use Iron Remover before applying wax or a protective treatment?

Yes, this should be done before applying a wax or protective treatment as it helps adherence.

When should I use Iron Remover on the bodywork and how often?

When your car bodywork is dull or rough to the touch and when there are dots or dark spots after washing. We recommend using Iron Remover on the bodywork every three washes.

Where is contamination usually found?

Contamination can be found on the rims, bodywork and even on the windows of the vehicle.

How can I tell if there is contamination on the rims?

Contamination can be seen easily on the rims. Usually, once the rim has been cleaned with a specific product, all dirt and black or dark brown dots remaining on the rim and between the spokes are considered contamination.

How can I tell if there is contamination on the body or windows?

If the contamination is extensive, it may also be visible on the bodywork: the colour of the bodywork will look dull and, for white cars, you will still see brown dots after washing. If you can't see it, take a plastic shopping bag, the disposable ones for example, and - with your hand inside it - wipe it over the bodywork: youā€™ll feel the rough bodywork underneath. What you are feeling is contamination.

What do you need for this task?

A soft-bristled brush to apply the product evenly, the rub to increase the penetrating action and thereby the effectiveness on embedded dirt, and a hose.

Why canā€™t I use it on unpainted callipers?

Because unpainted callipers are made from crude iron, an alloy of iron and lead. The product acts on iron and could blacken the callipers. Therefore, take care when applying the product close to the brake calliper.

Should Iron Remover be diluted?

Iron Remover is ready to use and can be directly and safely applied to wheels, bodywork and windows. 1:1 dilution (one part product to one part water) is recommended only for maintenance or light contamination.
